Elvis The Movie Free Online

la France dans le coeur 2

Our trip to France is a mix of desires, and in 3 different places that we want to see.

Brittany is high on the list because I want to go to "places of Merlin and Vivian."
Then you add the Normandy where there is Mont St Michel, which attracts me and where my mother and my father wants to see the famous American landing beaches.
Finally, coming from London, we opt for a stopover in Burgundy, on the road to be seduced by the charm of the cathedrals.

Before leaving us well documented, we study a journey in stages to sleep in, booked the hotels and we do send the documents from the offices of tourism of all the places that interest us.
In France, every town, however small, has its own tourist office in two days that makes you have to mail several maps and info on where to eat, what to see etc.
There's nothing to do with tourism as the French are really ten steps forward.

Everything is ready and go!
At 6 am in the car and we reach Cluny, where we see the abbey in restoration and eat a little something walking through the sunny streets.
It is very hot but the shade can breathe.

The stop in Burgundy comes from our desire to see some "places of the spirit" that are located along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and running from Vezelay. We get there and also
Taizé but the journey is long and we have to choose.
Our goal is really Normandy and unfortunately we can not stop a lot.
So after Cluny, Fontenay go only to see the beautiful abbey with its large garden.

Fontenay is close to Auxerre and can be reached via a narrow hidden in the countryside.
not lose heart if you think it's never come, in reality you just wait.
Fontenay is currently privately owned but is open and the ticket price is well worth the visit.
Abbey and around the entire complex has undergone many renovations which have restored to its original beauty. Only seeing it you will realize that man is small in relation to the essence of God
Whether you are believers or not, the grandeur and peace to all places of worship of Burgundy, however, aroused a great feeling, believe me.

addition, the abbey is a great stop for a rest 'al fresco in the green:)

It' s almost evening and is still hot but we must start to Auxerre, where to sleep.
The night is sultry and the next morning the sky is overcast and drizzling.
Patience, we are directed to Guedelon to see the medieval construction and are equipped with umbrella and rain jacket:)
We get lost a bit 'along the roads that wind through the forest of St-Fargeau and we get to the parking lot at 10 hours of 'Opening! We
the ticket and, crossing a wooden door, we are immersed in the Middle Ages.

Among the trees there are houses of wood and straw where craftsmen work with stone, wood, iron and build a castle with exactly the techniques and materials in 1200.
Work began in 1997 and expect to finish in 2025. Everything is open here and you will not regret having paid the entrance.
wander around the yard for several hours admiring the attention to detail and precise manual work of carpenters.
raining but it is unimportant, the rain only helps to increase the beauty of light and brilliance of the green.
addition to the patter of rain on the trees you hear only the sound of chisels and the cackling of some geese. It seems to be really out of touch.
And the feeling is wonderful.

The land area of \u200b\u200breddish brown and is mixed with yellow ocher dissolved by rain and form fascinating contrasts of color.
Remember to wear shoes that you are not afraid of ruining the plot gets a little 'muddy, we are still in a yard in the woods:)
It' now time for lunch and, if desired, you could eat at the inn located in the yard but we prefer to continue to the next stage: Chartres, the other stage on the Way.
eat the fly, just to recover energy, and in the afternoon we advanced in the city.

Chartres reveals a little gem almost perched on a mountain.

The winding streets of the Old Town climb to the Cathedral and it is nice to stop from time to time by it to become ever closer.
.
Let's take a tour of the houses and shops, then return to the hotel for dinner and we would like to visit the cathedral the following morning. Very good idea because the next day the sky is clear and the light is blinding.

shoot some photos outside and then within.

takes a few seconds for me to stay in the mouth open and found myself literally with tears in his eyes.
The cathedral is magnificent and it seems almost impossible that they could work the marble with such precision. There are very small and detailed decorations and stained glass windows are impressive and colorful.
The exterior and windows have just been cleaned up and the bright light that filters do not have anything to do with the idea that we have dark and dark of the churches.
There is a lot of light reflected from white marble and glass colors seem to vibrate. A feast for the eyes and heart.
It 's the place where all prayers are heard and where I feel for the first time "at home", I have the serenity, a heavy heart and hands that fail to take a picture even more. I am HAPPY.
My dad takes a picture of me and my mom, I think is the most beautiful photos I've had since I was a child. We are in Chartres, together!

Apart from the strictly emotional and personal considerations that I have to admit, see the restoration work carried out REALLY makes me want to leave an offer and makes us reflect once more on the fact that outside of Italy is a different story.

With joy in my heart and the sun in my eyes back to the car to the road again, this time we go up in Caen!

the next post for the rest of the trip:)
