la France dans le coeur
Or returning from the first round in France:)
Here I am, I'm back and I try to fix photos and ideas about this wonderful trip in a land that has thousands of landscapes, places and emotions that fill your eyes and heart: France.
who already knows it will know what I mean, the other will try to do a travel journal that can offer even a hint of the atmosphere which they breathe.
I do not know where to start to tell and then try to make a record for points, leaving the latest ideas and photos on the trip itself.
Tips
1) whom, when and where we were :
My mother, my father and me. Around for about ten days in early July 2010.
starting we arrived in Torino Burgundy stopping at Cluny, Fontenay, Guedelon then stay at Auxerre.
Going to sleep in Chartres to visit and we went to Caen and Bayeux, in Normandy now. Two-night stop in Caen and then off to Mont Saint Michel, another stop for the night to watch the sunset over the bay.
Departure for Dinan, St Malo and Rennes in Brittany ground. Here we sleep for two nights to visit the enchanted forest Broceliande and the town of Josselin, a small jewel in Britain.
Descend to Carnac, site of the megaliths and the ocean beach. Another stop for the night and then return home.
2) nights : In France
tourism is everyone's reach. There are many hotel chains at pretty low, but in a very good comfort. We choose the formula by which we sleep in a triple room for an average of € 40 with breakfast. Free parking and free wifi. Hotels practical, comfortable and helpful staff. In addition, promotions are always around for dinner. Ask!
Services are on the plans and are automatically cleaned after each use.
And I mean clean clean!
3) journey : Abandon
toll motorways soon as you can and follow-WONDERFUL LARGE-FREE French roads and little traffic. Not to be believed, their state or simple braces between villages are the best of our newer highways.
Traffic is nonexistent and the French guide you will make peace with the world. Map in hand, or the browser and everything will be fine.
addition, many state facilities equipped rest areas and dining menu with a low cost.
Here a big thanks to my father who is literally pitted and peacefully nearly 3000 km journey:)
4) the meals :
notice a bit 'painful for us who love the variety of Italian cuisine.
In France we eat so much meat and potatoes, you do not find the pasta and the vegetables a bit scarce '. But I fell in love with the famous Ratatouille and simple:) I tasted
chichis and galettes, my father, even the Moules frites (mussels and fries), a typical dish of Normandy.
Whatever you resist:)
Breakfast is similar to ours and find boulangeries (bakery) crammed with baguettes and other bakery products, sweet and salty. If you have problems go into a supermarket and there you will find that you eat, and now there is all over the world!
important thing: do not buy the water, but always ask for "une carafe d'eau, svp." Tap water will bring you fresh, light and free, Evian better ^ ^
5) weather conditions and equipment :
They say it always rains in Normandy and Brittany ... oh, well .. we have only had one morning of rain in Burgundy. For the remainder is 30 degrees, clear skies, scorching sun and wind to mitigate the entire Atlantic. Of course the evening cools, but is just a detail, a sweater and go.
The Atlantic beaches and cliffs on the Channel are breathtaking but I recommend a hat for the sun and the wind and good walking shoes.
for rain jacket in your backpack, small towel, reserve tank top, sunglasses and sunscreen. Also bring a swimsuit and flip-flops so you can walk a bit 'long the pond)
I suggest you change if you want to swim, the water is cold!
6) languages: English
My good, my French school. A good phrase book in his pocket and no problem. In a few speak Italian but I'm always kind and helpful. Learn a little 'in French, you will feel better and people will prove even more available appreciating your effort.
trip like this open their hearts but also the mind, help to grow and confront themselves. We saw places of the spirit, castles, beaches that have made the history of World War II, the city where dell'armorica hovering presence of Asterix, fairies and enchanted woods of fountains where Merlin magic rests in the shade. We walked among the megaliths with the wind and got in his hands the fine sand of the ocean.
addition, we were together and we have given away each other thoughts and emotions.
This has enriched us and left us in our hearts the desire to return.
the next post to tell you something about the places visited:)
